In the KVP Security Program, Security Officers will get (besides the basic training) a module in innovative and more effective handcuffing techniques, separating, controlling, fixating, exiting, and self defense techniques.
Security officers are often confronted directly with drunks, junkies, brawlers, thieves, raiders, and other kinds of (potentially) dangerous fellons and criminals. Their own safety should be a priority while doing their job. In the KTEC Security Program security officers learn to defend themselves proportionally and effectively, without using violence.
Besides that, they will be trained in using communicative skills, including multicultural aspects. The focus is on problem solving, instead of arguments or discussion.
Security officers often don’t have special authority or weapons. Furthermore they are not permitted to use violence in any way, and must be very careful not to harm people. The KTEC Security Program makes it possible for security officers to function optimally efficient and effective even under these conditions.
Subjects of the KTEC Security Program curriculum are for example:
- Kurodaiya self defense
- Communicative skills
- Multicultural aspects
- Dealing with stress and fear
- Controling, de-escalating en neutralising
- Handcuffing techniques
- Exiting and delivering
- Cooperation and teamworking with police and/or other security units
